‘I’ve named my show after the Joni Mitchell classic “Both Sides Now,” a song about perpetual rediscovery and humility in exploring the unknown: animating principles to my practice. Since moving to the city in 2018, I’ve found myself revisiting certain themes in search of nuanced relationships between art, technology, humans, and the environment. In my work I find new ways of asking: how do we impose narratives on the events we witness? How do we divide ourselves from each other and our surroundings?  How do we reconnect? In tending to my practice on a daily basis, in making and sharing art, I get the best glimpse of an answer to these daunting questions.

On Wednesday July 31st, Living Skin will host a reading featuring my sculptural books. These works have accompanied me in and out of the city offering space for stream-of-consciousness musings and observations, both written and drawn. With audience assistance, I’ll extend the books to read from each folded page, offering an intimate and expansive account of my experiences.’
